If your club has a member who has passed, email a photo & short Lion bio to Bruce Voight by 2/1
For each member that has passed, designate a Lion to participate in the 3/9 Service of Remembrance during the opening session.
Keynote Speaker Bio
John Stofflet
John Stofflet’s a 25-time Emmy Award-winning and Edward R. Murrow Award-winning tv news anchor, who has traveled on assignment to all 7 continents. He has interviewed hundreds of celebrities (like George Clooney and Julia Roberts), as well as a survivor of the Titanic sinking, and President Obama one-on-one at The White House.
He retired in 2023 as NBC15 News main evening anchor after 41 years in broadcasting, which included positions at WKOW in Madison, KING-TV in Seattle, Nat Geo Channel, and HGTV before he returned to Madison and NBC15 in 2005.
John has flown through a hurricane, snorkeled with sharks in the South Pacific, jumped off a 72 story New Zealand building with a cable on his back, and has followed along with wildlife crews trapping and relocating a polar bear and an alligator.
He is most proud of his service to the community through organizations like Second Harvest Food Bank and the Badger Childhood Cancer Network. Second Harvest awarded John the Be Like Mike Award for, “epitomizing the true spirit of NBC15’s Share Your Holidays to Eliminate Hunger Campaign”.
